Google Docs....FOR STUDENTS!

When I use Google Docs to plan lessons, make assessments, and share with other teachers; it never occurred to me that students could benefit from this great tool as well!

When we start to learn more and more about our ocean animals we will begin to have Google Doc chats with Mrs. Wolff's class using the Google Doc app and our iPads! The app is FREE check it out! Check out Mrs. Wolff's website!  Students will be able to chat with other students (from a few rooms down) about what they are learning about! We will be able to use all of our writing goals when typing our responses! I am very excited to try this new idea out! I will post pictures once we start!

Check out these other great ideas that I have been reading about from Tales from Outside the Classroom

Our standards we will be covering over the next couple weeks are in the blue box! We can do so much at this time of the year! I can't wait to see all of our hard work come together and read these reports!!

Our anchor text will be Manfish, a true story of an underwater explorer (just like we will be). Go find it at your local library. We are going to be just like the famous Jacques Cousteau and head to the depths of the library and internet to find the best information to read about ocean animals! Please comment with any websites/apps that would be great to research with! Here are some links that we will be using:
